BMW's M3, M5 and M6 all have it, but the Z4 M derivation of BMW's roadster set to debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit won't have BMW's SMG automated transmision. Instead, the only transmission available for the tuned-up roadster will be BMW's six-speed manual transmission.
SMG, currently an option on the current 2.5i and 3.0i Z4 models, will be dropped for future years.
