Motorola and Pininfarina do the "Birdcage" concept [SEMA]
Flashy car, always connected. Eric caught this beaty at the SEMA show last week — the "Birdcage 75" concept vehicle. In Motorola's words, it's "a technologically advanced concept car which portrays Motorola's vision of Seamless Mobility which will allow people to live the experience of always being connected to the things that are important to them." It is also a celebration of Pininfarina's 75 years. More pics after the jump.

Cool, that's a maserati concept isn't it? (designed by Pininfarina no doubt) I think I remember seeing that concept before. Anyhow, pretty cool.

Whats more is the Birdcage is going to get a 700+ horsepower 6.0L v12 engine beating out the Enzo's 660hp.

Fifth Gear from last week had Tom Ford trying to drive this at Goodwood over the summer. He stalled it 4-5 times and killed the battery in it (no alternator). Funny stuff. Scary car.

Saw this car at Las Vegas Speedway on 11/05/05 on the closed loop road course. It was being run and filmed along with some invitees running privately owned Maserati's and Ferrari's along with the factory teams of Ferrari and Maserati running F1 and GT prototypes. It was my first time seeing and hearing an F1 run through a course...pretty cool. The "Birdcage 75" wasn't running very well, and it takes forever for the canopy to open and close.
