Well, I like the rims...
Everything else is a bit too "rice" for my tastes.

Get rid of the ridiculous wing, throw in the turbo, offer it for less than 26K and you got yourself a pretty nice ride

Please label press releases as such. This isn't a 'blog' entry but a regurgitation of Honda's marketing info.

Once again, Honda. Get rid of the wing, tint the glasses and you've got an awesome machine.

This is merely a '06 version of the old RSX Concept C from a couple years back.
Not only that but if the engine information is straight from Honda, this is the same car w/ just different headlights/tail lights and bumpers. The '05+ RSX-S has a K20Z1 engine, not a K20A2.

Will somebody please, in small words, explain to me why you'd slap a gi-normous wing on the back of a front-wheel drive car?
Whoever started this trend is remarkably bad at aerodynamics.

Hate to say it but FWD cars need downforce too, but only for racing concerns. With their 65/35 weight distribution, the rear hops around alot. Wings are generally lame. This is probably honda's only nice looking car (S2000 too), and they fixed that awful 4x4 ride height. Way to go. Now fix/destroy that brutal 06 Civic, Element, Ridgeline, Accord...etc etc...

Yes the wing is certainly a nightmare. And unfortuantely, living in CA pretty much assures that I will soon see the horrid things on a daily basis. But lets not overlook the ground effects that appear on just about everything at SEMA. Am I the only one that hates the whole ground effect asthetic? Yes, I realise the value of their suction effect on the track. But to me their look on a street car sucks even more effectively. What ever happened to looking light and fleet-of-foot? This is what made the Grand Prix racers of the sixties look so timeless. The idea is to convey speed, but to me the look is akin to making a track star compete in an overcoat.
This is without even going into the everyday reality of curbs, speedbumps and the inevitability of all those add-ons fading differently than the rest of the car.
Unfortunately SEMA is all about adding stuff on, when my view of performance generally involves taking things off.

So THAT'S how you fix the horrible weight distribution of a FWD Honda!
They should have made the biplane wing out of lead and trimmed it for zero downforce to improve weight distribution AND drag.

My view of performance generally involves taking things off as well...
Anyway, I like the A-Spec look except for the biplane that crashed into the rear deck. The rest of it is still fairly clean and the front bumper is much less busy than the nonsense on the TSX. It works. Sort of.

C'mon people, let's focus on something positive. The black chrome wheels are a great addition. And I'm surprised nobody mentioned the cool looking daul center exhaust at the center of the rear skirt. I like that design overall (I agree that the wing is way too much). Instead, Honda should add the much cleaner-looking spoilers on the trunk lids.

You're right Nico. I couldn't see past that awful wing to notice the exhaust outlet, which is pretty cool. And the wheels are great. And for all my above comments about the body kit, if you are going to have one, it wouldn't take much to cleant this one up. Start by raising it up an inch in the front, eliminating one virticle surface and the stair-step busy-ness that goes with it. Then eliminate the black lower intake, rub strip or whatever that is on the bottome in the front and just thin out the lower lip.
Than lose the scoop on the sides and smooth things out below the side cladding bulge on the side. I think having the red around the round light components in the tailights would be a nice complement to those great wheels also.
There are no inside images but I hope they've done something to the RSX's goofy silver climate control knobs as well.

I would get rid of that wing, and add a Type-R spoiler, would look much better.
