It would have been the perfect story to tell your grandkids on
your 50th wedding annivesary. Flirty eyes at a stoplight, heated glances at each other as you tooled through rush
hour… except that s/he made the next light and you didn't. Gone forever? Not if you live in the UK. With the
new service at drivetoromance.com, you can leave a message for someone by their license plate number, or check to
see who has left a message for you by typing in your own plate number.
No word yet on how to avoid leaving a message for the woman driving her boyfriend's car (or vice versa).
Thanks to creaza for the tip.

There seems to be a catch though. How do you know if you are left a message or not? You might leave a message for that "cute girl in the sports car" but she may never know that you have done so...or that this site even exist. How do you get around that problem?
Looks like its back to the ole' pen and pad message system...

Definitely a cool idea.
Also, the problem with the other person coming to the site and checking for messages left for them are pretty slim ... craigslist has a similar problem with "lost connections".

I assume that the site tracks the information, and actually MAILS, as in snail mail, the message to whoever the car is registered under...
