Delphi CEO Steve Miller spoke in Washington, DC on Friday, and delivered one hell of an interesting speech (hit the link below for the full text). It goes far beyond discussion of the short-term situation with Delphi and the UAW, and touches on many of the larger issues that have been discussed here in the comments section and elsewhere. In other words, it should be considered a must-read for anyone interested in the future of Big Manufacturing here in the US. This is definitely not the sort of thing I'd expect to see from a CEO nowadays, and I can say that my opinion of Mr. Miller has risen significantly.
