Amidst the doom-and-gloom coming from its cross-town rivals, the Chrysler Group's $374M third-quarter profit looks stunning in comparison. Mercedes also turned things around with a $526M showing. Interestingly enough, though, DCX's largest moneymaker in this previous quarter was its heavy-truck operations, which brought in $600M in profit. This is a market segment that Ford and GM have generally been slinking away from in recent years, but DCX's aggressive pursuit of it seems to be paying off.
