GM's GMC division has announced yet another really big vehicle in the 8-seater Acadia, to debut as a concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit and go on sale as a production model in 2008. The crossover vehicle was announced officially at GM's Dealer Business Conference in Las Vegas last week.
On the same platform will be next year's Saturn Outlook and an unnamed Buick vehicle to replace the Rainier and the Rendezvous. The word Acadia, says Edmunds, refers to a French colony in Nova Scotia. Many of its residents were deported to New Orleans, so can we expect this crossover to have a Cajun kick to it?
