Many of you already know that I'm still mourning the Dodge Neon, but these spy pics of and info on the SRT-4 version of the Caliber from Edmunds have me flying through the stages of grief like the old SRT-4 down a quarter mile. I'll just relay the important stuff: a 235-hp version of the 2.4L World Engine, electronic all-wheel drive, and pricing similar to the outgoing SRT-4 in the low $20K range. We'll venture to guess that the Caliber SRT-4 will be slower than the old model due to its larger size and the extra weight and energy-sapping properties of an AWD system. The Caliber, however, will be a far more useful vehicle delivering decent fuel-economy and, in the case of the SRT-4, class-leading performance.
Neon who?
