In addition to its new Focus and Explorer models debuting in Tokyo, Ford has also added the Equator concept to the bill. The Equator is said to "hint at the future", possibly providing a sneak peak at a replacement for the Escape or a brand new SUV model designed specifically for global urban markets. It's powered by a 3.0L Duratech V6 and also features an intelligent 4WD system. Touted as "the right size for many markets in the region", this soft roader concept attempts to combine in-city maneuverability with efficiency and a small dash of luxury. Ford will also be unveiling the Focus Vignale concept in Tokyo, which is a two-door hardtop convertible version of the Focus.
