World Premiere: Honda FCX Concept
The Honda FCX concept car is being unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show, and represents Honda's take on the next-generation premium full-size sedan. The car is built on a low-floor, low center of gravity platform, maximizing cabin space. The concept car is powered by Honda's V-Flow fuel-cell, and will be displayed with a matching Home Energy Station.
The short-nosed, wedge-shaped profile of the FCX seems very Lamborghini-esque, but it certainly shows off the
packaging alternatives of the fuel cell powertrain.

Looks a lot like a Chrysler LH platform car.

That's a sedan that would make me want to drive a sedan, regardless of what powered it. Cool!

Your next post on the Tokyo Motor Show will be about a Subaru product.

Could this be my next Accord? The one I have now should last me until 2012, they have 7 years to bring to production.

reminds me of the Kiwami concept, but with nice surfacing instead of dead flat panels. Its definetly nicer than the Toyota Fine-N fuel cell concept of a couple years back.

Clean, sleek styling. Not cartoonish like other Japanese concept cars and no "in your face" grillework. High torque, low CG should make a great drivers car. I could be comfortable with losing my internal combustion engine & it's throaty exhaust. I may need to cut back on saying the Japanese always have copycat designs.

I like the other one better. This one looks too Demolition Man-esque. Not ugly though.

It sits way too low to the ground. I HATE having to crawl or roll out of a car.

Well Jaymez, some of us are in good enough shape to get in and out of sleek, good looking cars. For the rest of you there are SUV's.
I like this car. Honda has gone so mainstream with their Accord sedans, they are almost as boring as a Camry, or most all of the American quasi rental cars. Fortunately the way Hondas drive continues to set them apart. But if everyone hated low cars, then everyone would have SUV's or maybe Ford 500's and PT Cruisers. No thanks.

Like the first comment, this does look like what the next generation of the Dodge Intripid would look like if DCX hadn't done its design about-face. And that is not a complaint. Any move the Accord could make in this direction is a good one in my book.
If I didn't keep reading Patrick Bedard's and other industry analysts columns poo-pooing the fesibility or even advisibility of fuel cell technology, I might even be able to get excited about the rest of the car.

Doc Reed, I think some people just like to sit higher on the ground. It doesn't mean they're out of shape, it could just mean they're tall.
If this car is any indication of what future calls will look like, I can't wait.

Try the Mazda3/6 once. They have the driving fun for cheap crown for now.

I like it. It looks a little bit Toyota Previa meets Dodge Intrepid, but overall a nice design.

I agree with Sid, the Mazda duo feel like 45mph at 75mph, they are very hard to drive at posted speed limits. Drivers have to watch the speedo more often. One can not drive by ear as in older cars and the sound of the engines.
Someone said: It's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow, BUT those Mazdas sure have it right.
