Peter DeLorenzo's weekly Rants column had the automotive press corp. in a tizzy last Wednesday when its author took GM's PR department to task for "losing the PR war on all fronts" with both consumers and the company's biggest adversary, Toyota. The piece is, quite frankly, incredible to read, as you would never expect to find such brutal honesty in one of the mainstream auto mags. This is the power of the internet, people.

DeLorenzo, a veteran of both the automotive industry and media, asserts GM's leadership in areas like product, technology and environmental expertise while simultaneously tearing into the company's PR Dept. for the fact that absolutely no one knows this. He also accurately explains why the phenomena of "GM bashing" has pervaded the automotive press as of late.
