I'm pretty sure the design inspiration for this car was the movie Who framed Roger Rabbit?, although the 2-seater LC also bears a striking resemblance to a Fiat 850. I haven't found English specs for the car, but I can tell you it has a front-mounted 660 cc 3-cylinder engine and a 4-speed automatic.

I'm guessing LC is short (ha!) for Little Car, but I'm open to other suggestions…

Wouldn't a race series with nothing but LC's be the coolest thing? I bet it'd be more popular than the Spec Miata series.

They're actually riffing off a mid-engine car they produced back in the 60s - the "Fronte 360 LC 10": http://www.suzuki.co.jp/cpd/koho_j/museum/2-1.htm I'd also guess that the "LC" stands for "light car", since it's a "kei" car, but I could be wrong. As for specs, it's 126.0 inches long, 58.1 inches wide, 54.7 inches high, with a 84.1 inch wheelbase. Like you mentioned, it's a 3 cylinder, 660 cc, DOHC front-mounted engine with a 4 speed automatic and front wheel drive. There's a few more pics/renderings in this article: http://response.jp/issue/2005/0930/article74758_1.html

Hmm. Perhaps "LC" stands for "Legendary Classic" - as explained in this FAQ about their motorcycles' names: http://www.suzuki.co.jp/cpd/faq/moto_name.html

Heheh. It looks like the cars from the Chevron commercials! They just need to curl the grill up in a smile.

After seeing those other pics, i want it even more. It looks like a toy. And i mean that in a positive way since most cars on the road look like camry's, accords, civics, etc.
