Nissan unveils Pivo concept car

Some of our readers (you know who you are) think Nissan's Versa is, shall we say, styling-challenged. Well, Nissan ditched the styling department and enlisted artist Takashi Murakami to design the Pivo for this year's Tokyo Motor Show. The results speak for themselves.

The 3-seater art car features an egg-shaped passenger compartment that revolves 360 degrees, eliminating the need to back up. The drive-by-wire, all-electric car features Nissan's lithium-ion batteries and its "Super Motor."

The car was introduced at Nissan's Ginza Gallery in downtown Tokyo, displayed alongside a "futuristic vegetable garden installation." (I swear I'm not making this up.)
