"Retailers on Madison Avenue are infamous for their creative window displays," says a press release put out by Land Rover last night. We're not sure they meant to use the word "infamous," really, and wonder how that got past the PR boss. We're also wondering how such crappy pictures were released over the wire, but it's an interesting story nonetheless — Land Rover and Ralph Lauren have teamed up to present one of the best Madison Avenue storefront scenes yet in the form of Ralph Lauren's "high-tech horse stable." The Range Rover Sport is the steed in this storefront window, which shows off Ralph Lauren's Alpine line of women's clothing. The performance-oriented SUV, in the limited edition Vesuvius burnt orange color, is positioned as the vehicle of choice for a sporting weekend in the country. The display will be up through November 7.
