Lingenfelter turns 25, celebrates with 25 twin-turbo Vettes

The most exciting thing for me when I turned 25 was the ability to rent a car. Things work a little differently over
at Lingenfelter, a place where "common" Vettes are routinely given membership to an elite level of performance. The
famed Corvette tuner is turning 25 this year and will celebrate by producing 25 twin-turbo C6 Corvettes that produce an
everything-beating 725 horsepower. Other add-ons include a Corsa exhaust, heavy duty dual disk clutch, Brembo 4-piston
calipers, 19-inch forged three-piece aluminum wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Sports and special body pieces including a
new hood, front spoiler, side skirts and one-piece rear fascia. What's the cost of this greatest gift of all time? Not
counting the base Z51 Vette you have to throw in – $86,995. Oh yeah, and it's not road legal.

What's so "special" about this package? Lingenfelter's top C5 turbo kit offers 725hp for $45k installed - and it's legal in 49 states.

What's the point if it's not state legal? Like mr said, "45K, 725 horsies and you can drive it." Now just what reason would you have in buying this car (besides the name and being one of the 25 owners).

Anyone who does not love Lingenfelter for what they do to cars should be shot.

I find it interesting John's handwritten signuture on that new C6 engine cover when he has been dead for a few years and the LPE of old is not the same quality or price as when he was alive.

I see dead people signing engines for profit. Wonder if I can do a seance to raise Jimmy Hendrix from the dead to sign my guitar?
