Lingenfelter turns 25, celebrates with 25 twin-turbo Vettes

Lingenfelter 25th anniversary twin-turbo Corvette

The most exciting thing for me when I turned 25 was the ability to rent a car. Things work a little differently over at Lingenfelter, a place where "common" Vettes are routinely given membership to an elite level of performance. The famed Corvette tuner is turning 25 this year and will celebrate by producing 25 twin-turbo C6 Corvettes that produce an everything-beating 725 horsepower. Other add-ons include a Corsa exhaust, heavy duty dual disk clutch, Brembo 4-piston calipers, 19-inch forged three-piece aluminum wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Sports and special body pieces including a new hood, front spoiler, side skirts and one-piece rear fascia. What's the cost of this greatest gift of all time? Not counting the base Z51 Vette you have to throw in – $86,995. Oh yeah, and it's not road legal.
