The Magna Steyr MILA CNG concept was unveiled on the last day of Frankfurt, which happened to be the day Randall and I overslept and missed most of the supplier press conferences. (Too much of the sweet German brew will do that to you.) Ah well, Green Car Congress has picked up the slack and has an article on this vehicle that weighs a mere 1,874 lbs and features a 1.6L four-cylinder running on compressed natural gas. It produces 150 hp and can reach a top speed of 124 mph and 62 mph in 6.9 seconds. The modular design could be configured in other ways besides a single-seater, a feature Magna Steyr hopes will attract an automaker looking for a wild concept to produce. We wish the company luck with that, because it's gonna need it.
[Thanks creaza for the tip]

This is the car I have been thinking about building in my garage for 40 years. I am a lone comuter, too chicken to ride a motorcycle. But really, what more do I need to get to work every day than a seat for me and a space for my laptop? If it's fast and fun, so much the better.

Its so hard to get a car design job yet they let someone make THAT. Still the concept is good.
