BMW Z4 Coupe
Frankfurt is full of beautiful cars, but this one surprised me. BMW showed this Z4 Coupe concept. While BMW did say this was a concept, it looks nearly production ready for us. We're not huge fans of the Z4, but this coupe comes across light years better than the Z4 convertible or the previous Z3 Coupe.
?i??%?%sponse. We'll update you with more information on the TSU???

I think it's BMW's bold attempt to go against Porsche's Cayman S.

Inspired by Ace & Gary's car from Saturday Night Live?

Land shark! Very cool...I wish I could see it in person.

Interestingly, it does not sport the anticipated Z4 facelift. Maybe BMW wants to dispense the changes to us one bite at a time.

I'm surprised that I like the design. It reminds me of a those old sports cars from the days of yore with that fast back look. At least it doesn't look like the other Z3 M coupe. Can't wait to see the M versions.

This is very nice. While the regular Z4 does nothing for me (and I'm a BMW fan and owner), the new roof emphasizes the classic sports car proportions and the curve of the roof complements the flame surfacing beautifully. Well done...

Uh, guys? The main difference between this car and the roadster is the hardtop and the back. So why are there pictures primarily of the front, and really only one showing either the roofline or the back end? (And it's an odd picture at that. The perspective makes it look like the coupe is a scrunched in length compared to the roadster - which maybe is the way the coupe actually looks, but it's tough to know without seeing more profile and rear 3/4 images.)

Why the m coupe hate? All the real enthusiasts I know love it. I always thought it was a hugely underrated car that was often ignored by people who couldn't get over the fact that it didn't "look normal". Weird.

This is a real winner. I agree, as a convertible the car wasn't as appreciable. In this form, however, it not only looks great but ought to handle even better. And it's practical too. Hopefully it will go into production.

Personally, I always liked the M coupe, but never really warmed up to the Z4. This I like. As Automobile puts it, "Never has a hardtop looked so much better than a convertible."

I think that I liked the Z4 'roadster' styling for about 10 minutes. The coupe, however, does something that the Z3 coupe/breadvan didn't achieve: it dramatically changes the styling character of the convertible for the better.
Somehow I'm pleasantly reminded of two cars: anything driven by Batman and ... the Triumph GT-6.

Das Fuhrer would be proud!
After all these years the Fatherland has finally produced a Bangle-ized copy of the Datsun 240Z.

Yeah the M Coupe of yore was a blast to drive but not being able to roll the window down all the way was a ridiculous error on BMW's part. There's nothing wrong with making the ultimate driving machine but let me at least stick my arm out the window when I'm driving it.
This new sucker looks hot though. Hopefully it doesn't share the same window problem.

Wow... I love the old M Coupes, but this thing is amazing... the long hood and short deck is a long lost look... now build it!

Thanks for the additional photos, Brad. Good to get a look all around the car. And I like what I see. I always liked the M Coupe, and I like this a lot too.

I'm with Dietre on this one. It looks like a Datsun 240Z. It will be interesting to see if BMW stays with all those creases that made the Z4 such a hit or incorporates injections of botox to ease the eye strain.

The rear half of the upper picture really resembles that of a Lotus Elise coupe...

Wow, Porsche and BMW now have versions of the 350z :-)
As much as a like this car, I would never buy it. What's the point at it's price? There are so many better alternatives. The z4 is a great handling car, and I'm sure the coupe will be the same. Would you rather have a BMW over a Porsche, it's a personal choice, but I think more people would choose the Porshce based on brand name, quality, resale, and (to be scene) performance.

Make THIS ONE have enough room for anyone taller than the 5'10" required for the last coupe, stick an M engine in there and keep it under $40k, I'll be there with checkbook in hand!
