Smart's on-again, off-again relationship with the United States is back on. Ulrich Walker, CEO of Smart, indicated today that he expects 20,000 units would sell in the U.S. The turnaround in opinion is mostly due to the changing attitudes in Americans regarding gas prices. A decision is expected by the end of the year.
