And for our next blog on "big brother" automobile takeovers, Toyota Motor Company is working on technology that senses whether drivers' eyes are on the road or whether they're drifting (or worse yet, closed). The system, much like how my seventh grade math teacher often called me out for doing my English homework in her class, alerts the driver and even starts slowing the vehicle down once it senses drivers' eyes moving away from the road.

That's bad news for most Michigan natives, where cruising can be regarded as a professional sport. Can you imagine? Driving down the street, checking out the hotties, only to have your car start blaring alarms and slowing down of its own accord… busted!

Thanks to Engadget for sending this one over.
