We don't know about you, but we here at Autoblog are just floored at the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and along the Gulf coast. With everyone's busy lives it's easy to just look up at the news and hardly register that another hurricane is on its way. For some reason it seems as if no one was prepared for this level of destruction. I know it's sometimes difficult to figure out how to best help the victims of a tragedy, but Instapundit has a great post up with a list of charities and who has recommended them. I wish I knew charities better myself but I don't, so I'm going with The American Red Cross because it seems they're always one of the first organizations to respond to national disasters. If anyone has more recommendations, list them in the comments sections.
Thanks and everyone's thoughts here at Autoblog continue to be with the victims of Hurrican Katrina.
