The Times reports that even his father is calling for MotoGP star Valentino Rossi to drive for Ferrari F1. Rossi has been impressive in several outings at Ferrari's Fiorano test track, where he has amassed the necessary seat time to qualify for an F1 superlicence.
If Ferrari are successful in signing the 26 year-old for the 2007 season (he has already committed to staying with Yamaha's MotoGP team for 2006), they could fulfill the cherished dream of the tifosi - to have an Italian, driving a Ferrari, win the Formula One World Championship - for the first time since 1953.
