Rossi looks to add two wheels
Valentino Rossi, the former MotoGP
champion/phenom, has been playing with four wheels lately. He has recently conducted his second test drive for Ferrari
and is in talks with Fiat about testing and maybe racing their new WRC entry. Rossi has made it clear that
Formula 1 has always been a
dream of his, but he expressed desire for the more 'laid back' WRC. Must be nice to have that kind of career
flexibility.

Huh? He is the current MotoGP champion and is crushing the competition in points this year as well.

Rossi migrating to F1 would be awesome, especially racing for Ferrari. Italian fans would go nuts and the F1 driver line up would be insane. It would leave a big void in MotoGP though...watching Rossi trounce everyone is a blast. Hayden is coming on nicely though.
Not much quality racing on SPEED this weekend. Just various flavors of NASCAR, stock car, and drag racing. My ReplayTV is enjoying a very light-duty Saturday.

Hopefully Rossi will do this. He's signed on for another year of MotoGP with Yamaha, but it's interesting to note that he only signed a one-year contract, not the usual two-year one. It would be nice to see what he can do on four wheels instead of two -- and it would also be nice to see some other MotoGP riders have a chance at the championship.

He did a WRC race a couple years ago, did he not? I seem to remember his car hanging off in a ditch a while back.
