Iacocca and Snoop are homies
Well, if you though Jason Alexander and Iacocca were strange together, you may be surprised
how well Iacocca teams up with another celebrity. Snoop Dogg and Iacocca spending a little quality time on the golf course, for shizzle. Couldn't
resist, We're sorry. The D-O-Double-G and Iacocca make a fitting pair. There is something about old white auto
executives and rappers that meshes so well. This is very funny. They should be releasing the commerical on
Chrysler.com if you haven't seen it on TV. Thanks to Grenamier for the tip.

WOW, this is great...one smells of pimp oil, the other of formaldehyde...
Maybe they can market their own unique smells at those car washes...."Would you like the interior of your car to smell of 'Pimp'?..or rather 'Old Man'?"

When autoblog first announced that Lee would be doing commercials for DCX, the naysayers all came out of the woodwork with negative comments. Not me...I said then and I'll say it again, Lee will sell a lot of cars for Chrysler.

I'll tell you what...this Lido, now He's the pimp. Anyone who remembers the early/mid 80's and who ever bought one of Chrysler's Horizon, Challenger, K-Car, and yes, even the Voyager minivan (oh wait, Chrysler "invented" the minivan, right? They may have popularized it, but they sure as hell didn't "invent" it...anyone who ever had a VW van in the 70's knows better.)...but back to my story...anyone who paid good dinero for one of those steaming hulks of sh*& knows better. Anyone who ever had the pleasure of driving a Chrysler 2.2...turbo or standard...
But hey, at the time they were playing the "patriotism" card....there's no way in hell they could get away with that crap nowadays. So for Lido to be up there selling the modern Chrysler products is a slap in the face to every engineer at Chrysler...anyone who works hard to put out a better product.
K-Car....the K ...the Giant F'n "K!!!"...bring back the K there Lido.

I was one of those naysayers in early July and stand by what I said. Popular ads don't always translate into sales. Any bozo could've told us about employee discounts and DCX would have seen a sales uptick accordingly. Why they chose to have him repeat the "buy a better car" phrase seems a little odd given Chrysler's quality record in recent years:
And the Ad Age survey highlighted one snag in the campaign that features Iacocca's famous phrase: "If you can find a better car, buy it." About 80 percent of survey respondents said they thought they could find something better.

I am getting really sick of these racial patronizing commercials. We get McDonalds with the chicken thing,(like blacks only eat chicken,) and the rap thing with Pepsi, and now Coco with the pimp. Give me a break! This advertizing is so shallow. It just proves what depths these a-holes will sink to. Plus, I don't like s***head Jason Alexander either.

#9, I'm with you. People can have whatever opinion they want, it's totally irrelevant because these ads will sell cars. Good for them.

Well, it may sell...but to whom?
Does the ad show Snoop driving in his Chrysler 300, the one with the 20" chrome spinners, blasting ghetto @#$# music, maybe gnawing on a chicken bone, flashing his gold tooth, with a crew of hos in the back....all getttin' down and nasty in a Chrysler product?
Boy, and I thought the German influence was going to be positive... Hell Nah, man, Sheit...'aint you got no mo sense than dat, punck-ass FOOLS???
Let's embrace trash....why, it SELLS!!!
American ghetto culture...where's the Cheetos, it's dinner time!!!

#10, Karl can have his "VW invention" the gutless, cold and otherwise miserable VW Transporter (A/K/A microbus). I'd prefer to take back the '86 Dodge Caravan that gave me 15 trouble free years and still passes by my house with its new owner. Maybe Chrysler didn't invent the minivan, Karl, but they sure as hell perfected it.
My '83 Dodge 400 convertible was a good car too, and a "chick magnet" besides. (Or was it me that was the magnet?)

I'm sure Lee Iacocca and Snoop Dogg would be good friends without any connection via an ad agency.
They have so much in common like double letters in both their first and last names.

Hey #17 a/k/a "my Lord",
I'm not now, nor have I ever been employed by ANYONE in the automobile business. Ironically, my father, also Mal Fuller worked for Ford from 1928 until 1966.
If the "K"-Car was so bad, I wonder how our government had its loan money returned in such a short time. Chrysler Corp. sales were mostly "K"-Cars during this era.

Do you see this as somthing Admirable?? Something to be Proud of?...taxpayer's bailing out Chrysler Corp?
Anyone...and I mean ANYONE who reads this blog or any other auto forum...who proudly states in front of the entire world what a WONDERFUL car the K-Car is/was....is a 'Tard!!!
