A picture is worth a thousand words, though this one's worth about two: "Yee Haw!" We don't have much information on this good ol' boy transformation, but the builders dropped us a line yesterday letting us know that they had just finished the project. It appears three people were involved and from what we can tell the mods include the obvious orange paint job with decals, orange leather seat inserts and a Mopar cold-air intake. If the builders are out there, can you give us a more detailed mod list and total cost for the project? Considering how many comments were made on the last post we did about the Dukes of Hazzard, we'll just let the lovers and haters go at it over the debatable coolness of this car.

This mod really highlights how bad the new design really is. Even with two doors the nose still looks like the aftermath of a head on collision and the "fastback" still looks like the rump of a fat woman in line at a buffet. Give me a 300 or '05 Mustang...

That window is a much smaller target. "Them Duke boys just got themselves another cracked tibia." I have to say, the new Charger just won't work with the General Lee treatment. Although a good chunk of that could be that the "01" looks horribly misplaced. It looks like as if it should be lower and little more forward...and maybe with the digits spaced a little further apart.

If this car had never been made it would be a better day for all of us! It looks nothing like The General Lee and I think that Dodge made a big mistake by even making the new "charger". The charger is known as a muscle car and they made something quite the opposite.

It doesn't look like they welded the rear doors shut. They did, however, shave the door handles. I realize a lot of people would rather the Charger be a 2-door, but welding doors closed and denying access to the back seat is not the way to do it. The car looks clean, though I would prefer it without the General Lee decals and with some bright red paint.

All that paint work and they didn't bother to color match the XM/Sirius antenna?

I am sorry, but the new dodge Charger is the biggest disgrace on the road. I cant believe that Dodge would even consider putting the Charger name on a four door "grocery getter". Than if that is not good enough, someone goes and makes a General Lee out of one. Unbelievable. I am an avid MOPAR fan and I own a 1968 Dodge Charger, and a 1973 Dodge Challenger and I love them both. The new Dodge Charger is a disgrace!

This shouldn't be a debate about the hicks and racists of the South, it should be about this Fucking Ugly Car. Agreed, The car can't be a General Lee without the flag on the roof but I rather saw my dick off then drive around in that thing with all of it's rich history because few know that the TV show was a goof. I'd like to see somenone drive that through the Streets of Newark, NJ and see what happens.

it's the next generation general lee for christ's sake, no cb either but it has hands free communication, chrysler only makes a 4 door charger for 2006 if there was a 2 door available then it probably would have been a 2 door, bo and luke in the movie don't wear the same clothes or have the same haircuts, and for your information the new charger is a balls out muscle car

Unless they re-design it, paint and decals do not a general lee make. Looks too "squatty". By the by, I just got the magnum hemi. Now that's one classy ride :-). And it's the first Chrysler/Dodge I ever bought. Fords for the last 30 years but the design and power plant swung me over.
