I haven't been following the development of this super-secret car project very much, but the news surfaced on my watch so I get the post. The developers of the Project 1221 MF1 turbine-powered supercar have revealed that they are aiming for an output of 1,500bhp. One major concern has been the massive exhaust output that will occur from the turboshaft engine. The developers claim that it will be put to good use under the car assisting airflow and increasing downforce at low and medium speeds. The developers, who also claim that an engine of such power has never been installed in a road or race car, addressed criticisms that the turbine engine will have an inherently long spool-up by stating that instant power would be available from a walking pace. We don't know about you, but we're ready to stop talking specs and see this thing's sheetmetal already.
