These are spy shots of the next generation Lancer that will be the basis for the EVO X, but it's just a mule that gives no indication what the car will look like when it debuts at the Tokyo Motor Show this fall. That doesn't stop The Car Connection from extrapolating everything it can from the mule whose body was cobbled together using parts from the entire Lancer line. The bulging front fenders on the mule indicate a car with a significantly wider track. The rear of the car, however, is taken from a Lancer EVO that provides enough width for the mule without modification. It's said that the EVO X will make over 300 horsepower when it arrives in the U.S. sometime in 2006.
