That's one expensive 'Stang, but the FR500C is built strictly for racing since it's virtually identical to the track car that races on the Grand-Am Cup road-racing circuit. The FR500C will be powered by Ford Racing's 5.0L "Cammer R50" V8 that develops more than 400 hp and 400 lb-ft. of torque, all in a car that weighs 200 lbs. lighter than the base Mustang. These pony cars won't be street legal, but the 25 being built for sale by August will be ready to race right out of the box.
