Just curious...anyone prefers this over Shelby GR-1 Concept?

That is not a bad looking vehicle.

That's a Chrysler? It almost has the lines of a Ferrari 456. Those guys and gals at DCX certainly know how to make a handsome vehicle. Now will it ever see production, and at what price?

The rear end treatment looks like an Aston Martin.
(Oh, and I saw a DB9 with Mfg. plates yesterday ...droool!)

The exterior is stunning. The interior is....blinding.

One of the great things about a good looking car like this is that it will make the competition produce more good looking cars in order to compete.
In a few short years there will be so many good looking cars available that it will be hard to choose one!

Perhaps DCX designers could hold a design clinic for the amateurs over at GM. These DCX guys (gals?) have their act together and are showing America (and the rest of the world) what happens when you spend time making cars look good.
The R&T issue is as stunning as the car itself. I showed this car issue to a MOPAR fan and he was drooling like I haven't seen a MOPAR fan drool before.
Build the car, Chrysler. If you put a Corvette next to this, the Corvette looks like it was once a model you could buy off a shelf at Walmart in comparison.

Do you practice being an idiot or is a talent?

At least a couple of posters here aren't blinded by mediocrity. For the rest of you yahoos: Your just looking at a Viper front end (with a Chrysler grill, natch) bolted onto a Crossfire back end, and the car gets reviews of "stunning... impressive... sexbomb". This is a Viper model refresh at best.
And wha's up with that door? Looks VERY hard to enter/exit. :P

I don't know, Sid, but I think laserwizard nailed it. The design/styling of the Firepower is far, far superior to the Corvette. The Corvette's never been especially elegant. Amazing how good looking the Firepower is.

saw this car at ny autoshow.. looks great in person. but not digging the name... firepower.

It is one sexy car...it would be a nice comeback after they spoiled the design of the Viper (I loved the original, but the styling of this gen has the volume cranked way down).
I don't know what's up with Chrysler and the lines/ridges on the hood lately. Both the Crossfire and Firepower (I can't remember if the ME had them). They're only on the leading edge of the Firepower's hood, but they still look terrible. Nice smooth shapes with a hood sponsored by Ruffles.

Ummm...I'm pretty sure the "elegant" is NOT something that is supposed to describe the Corvette. Its purpose is to be purely sporty. The XLR is the GM sports car that is supposed to be more luxurious and "elegant."
The Corvette is in the class of the Viper, not the Firepower. You guys must work for Edmunds.

Is the hood just waaaay too frickin' long or is it just the pics?
It looks like you could stuff a straight 12 under that hood and maybe a transverse 4 behind it.

It looks much better than the current Viper. I preferred the older body style - the current Viper looks like a Dodge Corvette.

Uh, the Firepower is, essentially, a Viper. I don't understand the distinction you're trying to draw.
