The U.S. Highway Traffic Safety Administration has gotten 33 complaints against Toyota's hybrid, prompting the agency to begin a probe of 75,000 2004-2005 model year Priuses for stalling at highway speeds. This will probably force Toyota to begin an official recall instead of the low-key service bulletin. This announcement comes right after another big recall for Toyota, one that will see 173,000 vehicles repaired due to defective brake and fuel systems. These vehicles were only sold in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.
