Audi Nuvolari concept
With Audi announcing the new A4 coupe, based off the 2003 Nuvolari concept, news breaking recently we wanted to refresh everyone's memory of what a good-looking car it was. Audi said that the A4 coupe would stay true to the "GT" lines of the concept. Enjoy the flashback.

I see no reason for the A4 Coupe to differ greatly from this wonderful concept. The Nuvolari looks as if it could be found on the lot right now. Even the interior looks production ready. Splendid job, Audi!

Looks like a TT with sharper lines. Hopefully it'll drive better than a TT.

#1, this concept (from a couple years ago) was pretty much a 'production' concept; that is, it was fully finished, mechanically and cosmetically, and was driveable. check out these pics when they introduced it at Le Mans:

i still don't know how well this will translate to the A4 platform. the concept seemed to be closer in size to the A6, and i thought at the time that it was to be an A6 variant, putting it head to head with BMW's 6-series.

Looks good. Like a TT coupe on performance enhancement, homerun-inducing therapies.

It does seem to be more in the vein of the 6 series. I guess we'll find out eventually. I just hope it is not a half-hearted attempt as was the A4 convertible.

I want my (yeah, right) RS4 built off of this.

I'd rather have this than a BMW 6, assuming it doesn't suffer from the same performance failures of the TT.

Audi's engine aligned N-S clear in front of the front axle means they will always be nose-heavy and never handle as well as a 50:50 balanced BMW. Though since the TT is based on the Golf platform there are probably other reasons for its handling to suck.

I don't even notice Audi's driving by these days, so common are they starting to get. Taking a good look at this pic though you can't help but appreciate how different these Audi's actually look from anything else out there. I hope it'll make it without too many changes to the looks, just like they did with the TT.
