Ooooh, I got one.
Why are you guys so biased for/against American/Korean/Japanese/German automobiles? Why won't you admit the real truth that my Ranger/Ridgeline/500/Mustang/GTO/VW/BMW/Dodge is the greatest vechile ever made and all others should bow down to my obvious superiority/greater brainpower/uber-masculinity?

I got me a question - what's up with the Cadillac ESV you're testing? I want an update on that pimpmobile!

Here is tough question, all automotive journalists must face:
How does Autoblog feel about supporting and pushing the leading industry of pollutants in the world, that is, the oil industry?

Couldn't they ask you the very same question Mr. Owen, or do you commute by horseback?

Hey Richard, judging by the url link from your name (supercars.net) you obviously are an automobile enthusiast or at the very least pretend to like cars, so let me ask you. How do you feel about supporting (what you claim is) the leading industry of pullutants in the world?
Your post ranks of hypocrisy, my friend, unless you care to explain yourself further.

I think Mr. Owen's question is perfectly legitimate. He obviously isn't asking out of spite or with some kind of eco-agenda, he's simply posting it as a legitimate journalistic question.

Or at least to get some linkage to his site (I whois'd the domain... a guy named Richard Owen owns it). You know... say something inflammatory to get the click, then bombard the clicker with more stuff s/he's interested in and maybe gain some new readers. That's my conspiracy theory. Now on to Richard's:
Seems to me that Autoblog "supporting and pushing" the oil industry is a side effect of "supporting and pushing" cars. If all cars ran on, say, batteries, Autoblog wouldn't have anything to do with the oil industry.
Not to speak for the editors, but I'd guess it probably doesn't keep them up at night...

What questions should I ask myself to decide between buying a hybrid automobile and an identical, but gas-powered automobile?
I'm not asking, "Should I buy a Prius or an Lincoln Navigator?" I'm asking, how do I determine whether to buy a hybrid Accord versus traditional Accord? Hybrid Escape versus Escape?, etc..

J,
Excellent question. I will address that next week.

I've tried sending some questions to ask@autoblog.com but they seem to disappear into the ether..
My last question was in the area of dealers.
It seems that wherever I live there's the biggest dealer of brand X in the country. I'm curious as to who really is the biggest dealer of each of the brands and was wondering if you guys had any insights to those numbers.
thanks,
bob

I'm searching for a vehicle in the very near future. It can be either new or used. I want it to be less than $15000 since I am just graduating college. The requirements are that it can COMFORTABLY seat 4 people for at least an hour, has cruise control, manual tranny, semi "sporty", semi fuel economical, and have nice amount of cargo space with bonus points for rear seats that fold/move/remove to add more room. I would like to keep it within the last 7 years or so. I was considering the 2005 Suzuki Aerio Sx but no dealers in Ohio have them in manual w/abs.
Another question, why is the world going to all automatics?!?!
