Ford earned $1.18 billion for its first quarter down from the year-ago $1.96 billion. Revenue rose $39.3 billion from $38 billion a year earlier. The figures did beat analyst's estimates for the quarter but Ford has prepared investors for a possible loss in the second-quarter because of lower sales. A better story than GM, but still doesn't give us the warm and fuzzies.
