It totally skipped our radar screens. Saab was supposed to debut a concept based on the Subaru B9 Tribeca at the New York Auto Show, but never did. The new Epsilon 2 platform is set to fit both the 9-3 and 9-5 replacements in 2008. Saab is looking to move exclusively to four-wheel drive, as the Epsilon 2 platform will be able to accommodate a rear differential. The 9-5 should be getting a nose and tail tweak for 2006 to freshen the look for the last two years of its life.
