What do you do when you have a smash hit vehicle? You try and milk it for all it's worth. If a SRT version wasn't enough, the execs at Chrysler are now trying to make a convertible 300C a reality. It would be similar in many respects to the ASC Helios shown at the Detroit Auto Show this year. The vehicle isn't structurally sound enough to support a convertible model exactly like the ASC version. But the company is looking into a business case for refitting it to handle a drop-top. Quote of the story "marketing is in the middle of their analysis asking, 'Is this really something the world wants and needs?' " No one, and I mean no one, needs a convertible ever, let along a 300. Plus wouldn't Chrysler have a ton of convertibles if this happened? PT Cruiser, Crossfire and Sebring?
