DaimlerChrysler has claimed victory in the $1 billion lawsuit by Kirk Kerkorian when a U.S. judge threw out the lawsuit. Kerkorian said that he had been deceived in the 1998 merger between Daimler-Benz and Chrysler when it was billed "a merger of equals". If the lawsuit received traction in the courts it would have been another hit to Jürgen Schrempp, who hasn't been having a great week.
