Korea needs more A8s
Bringing the top end Audi flagship (yes, it's the Ls were talking about here) by boat just isn't fast enough for the ravenous Korean elite. The first 20 cars sold out in 10 days and there are orders for 25 more so Audi Korea has started to airlift the cars into the country. In Korea, the Audi A8 L 6.0 Quattro costs 235 million Won or $235,000. The thing that cracks us up the most is the "emergency" word used in the title of the article. Let's save that for the airlifting of supplies to impoverished people, not millionaires needing their German cars.

Impoverished people? You talking about North Korea, right?

What surprised me most about that article was the price. The base price of that model in the US is a little over $117k - in other words *half* what they cost in South Korea. Even with every available option, you're 'only' looking at $128k here - that's one heck of a difference. Ouch.

In most Asian countries it's the same especially in South East Asia, we pay twice what you guys pay for any car.
