New York Auto Show: Ford Sport Trac Adrenalin
Ford is readying the 2007 Sport Trac Adrenalin for the 2007 model year and has all the plans to bring it to market as you see it here. SVT is not dead, as seen on the badging of this truck. The Adrenalin uses the tried and true 4.6-liter V-8 with a Roots-type supercharger and water-to-air intercooler to boost output to 390/390 horsepower/lb-ft of torque. Also SVT is using a six-speed automatic that is capable for heavy duty use, allowing the Sport Trac Adrenalin to tow a projected 6000 pounds. More info and pictures at the link.
This Sport Trac gets by with 21 inch wheels and big brakes. It also has an independent rear suspension to help with the ride and performance.
Fords AWD system has a 60/40 rear wheel torque bias, which make takeoff weight transfer easier to handle. This truck uses Fords AdvanceTrac with Roll Stabilty Control to make sure that all four tires stay planted firmly on the ground.
This version seats four with sculpted color-keyed leather seats. The gauge package is, of course, white faces instruments and a nav system is included, the first for any SVT vehicle.

Obviously, Ford isn't shipping a truck with shaved door handles. They better offer it in better colors, red is the worst color for any vehicle other than a Ferrari.

Awesome. Love the color and will consider buying.

Please let the price be reasonable and that it comes in some other color besides red or black.

Thanks for the pictures, and yeah I agree with sr20de, they really cant offer it with shaved handles. So what other changes can we expect between this and production?

Nice looking truck. I doubt the dub +1's will
and exhaust tips will make productions. Kudos
to Ford for puting an independent rear suspension
in the truck.

My question is, where is the info on the new non-adrenaline Sport Tracs? I mean, this one is cool and all (esp. if in a better color), but I'd like to see what the normal, non-SVT Sport Trac is going to look like. That's a vehicle I might actually be interested in. I'll never be able to afford this.

There is no doubt this is a great looking truck! Unfortunately after Ford is finished reworking the street version it will look nothing like what we see here! Ford always manages to reduce the (exciting Show version) to a bland street knock-off! By the way no matter what others say, this truck looks great in red!

A Roots blower? Jesus, you'd think at least one person at SVT would know that the twin-screw supercharger has been invented.

The roots blower works fine in the 03-04 Cobra and the last Lightings...so why mess with it if it works?

FORD made changes to the freestyle that changed on what I was looking for, now I hope to not get burned again, because I don't care if it was purple, I would get it, well maybe not purple, but you get the point. It looks great, and the Rear IRS should set it apart, heck it may handle better than a mustang if this thing goes through 100%. If so, I am onboard to this. I will get one!
