Blogging the Lincoln Mark LT
Our friendly neighborhood Ford PR representative called me earlier this week to see if I'd be interested in checking
out the new Lincoln Mark LT for a few hours. My answer was "sure." This morning, the slick looking black quad-cab truck
pulled up amidst a fresh snow. I'm going to run a few errands and test it out, but until then check out the rest of the
pictures below.

I'm generally favorable to recent Ford designs, but this Lincoln is not a better idea or even a mediocre one. I'd rather spend my money on an F-150 than to buy this Lincoln Thing. At a recent car show I saw this Thing and then went to an F-150 and there isn't much difference and those differences ruin, IMHO, the F-150 to the point of reducing the appeal of the overall package. There is not enough difference between this and an F-150 to make even considering buying this a serious matter.

Holy crap I agree with Laserwizard.
I think the waterfall grill, and the headight treatment soften the trucks looks detrimentally. Oh and if that's real wood on the console it doesn't look it.

I think it would be better if instead of copying the F-150 they made it look more like the Navigator with a truck bed.

I wonder who would buy these things. You'd think somebody who needed the manly reinforcement of a truck would be leery of owning a Lincoln. And somebody who really needed a truck for work sure would get laughed off the construction site pulling up in one of these things.

They should have at least slapped on the Navigator headlights to set it apart from the F-150. Caddy does it with their entire SUV line to set them apart from the lesser brethren.

To paraphrase 2pac, everywhere I go, I see that same radio. Ford sure does get a lot of mileage out of that thing doens't it?

Looks like an F150 with a different grille and headlights and Blackwood tail lights. Why would anyone buy this truck when they can doubtlessly spend less money on an F150 and get the same thing? This is something Ford would do to Mercury.

i think we can all agree it's better than the Blackwood though.
though actually... the Blackwood (lame and poorly thought out as it was) DID have the right idea concerning at least making a noticable exterior change to the truck by using the navigator front end. they should have made this thing be *exactly* how it is... just with the navigator front. wonder why they didn't?

This reminds me of the Lincoln Blackwood, from what I remember it sold so poorly that they almost immediately ceased production, and then called it a 'Limited Edition'. I have no idea why they would go down that path again.

An insult to the Mark name. At least the Blackwood used a unique bed with stainless steel, Navigator interior (a/c seats) a 32v motor, wood steering wheel, and a Navigator front end.
Badge engineering is at a new high at Lincoln. Shameful! Why anyone would buy this over a F150 Lariat, Harley, or King Ranch is beyond me.

That interior pic looks EXACTLY like my F-150 Lariat, except for the Lincoln lettering and what looks to be different colored "wood" trim.

Yes subtle differences than the King Ranch but much better looking. Who would buy it? Anyone who wants a nice truck that looks good at a black tie event and can still pull horse trailor. i.e. has a mouth full of teeth not just one.
