Bill Ford Jr.'s long refusal to be paid a salary as Ford Motor Co. chairman and CEP the past four years has finally paid off. The company's board of directors issued Ford a package worth around $18 million in stock options and grants as part of his bonus and long-term compensation package. When he was given a $1.5 million bonus in 2003 he donated it to a scholarship fund for employees' children. He says he may do the same again with another $1.5 million.
