In a revealing story from Automotive News we learn GM held a focus group of 35 big time celebrities to get reactions to the 2007 Cadillac Escalade. Focus groups are nothing new, but the hush-hush list of celebs from the September 2003 meeting certainly is a first. The current Escalade was a surprise hit among professional athletes as well as Hollywood types. This time Cadillac went directly to the buzzmakers to hear what they had to say. The sources wouldn't reveal names but there were NBA players and some of the cast of That '70s Show present. The fundamental premise of the group, as described by one exec, makes sense to us: "Rather than us sitting around thinking something is cool, why not get others who are cool to verify that for us?"
