Hyundai Portico concept
Hyundai's Portico uses electric motors at the front and rear wheels to help propel the six-passenger vehicle. There are only two rows of seats, but the seats are staggered to give occupants more wiggle-room. Entry is through pilar-less clam shell doors.

Many probably won't but I really like the new grill. Its looks like art instead of those BORING straight lines across or whatever everyone else is doing, has been doing for the last 30 years

I like the design too. But, the grill design looks suspiciously like a Pontiac Firebird Tans Am decal of the early 1980s.
hmmm...electric motors at each wheel - illuminated pimp wheels anyone? bling, bling!

The grille is tight! That is an original design idea... I think it would be very popular on production cars. Of course, a handsome product like this would be an important part of the puzzle, too.

grille looks hype.
I can't believe no one else thought about doing this...
anyhow, hyundai is coming out in a big way this year, after a brief pause in product cycle...
I'm really liking the new NF sonata, too, we can argue about the stolen design fortnight, but after having seen the car WITHOUT the emblem, I appreciate how the whole car comes together in a cohesive manner...

I actually like the car EXCEPT for the grill. I think the grill makes the car look weak, since it doesn't match any other aspect of this sleek design.

Bob Lutz, head of GM, was asked a year or so ago in a recent interview what car company gave him the most concern. His response was 'Hyundai' because they were under the radar and building very attractive, very affordable, and very reliable vehicles. I guess we know what he was talking about now. This Portico is as 'edgy' as the Nissan Quest, but I think it is more attractive and looks almost car-ish. Hyundai is busting the mouths of the competitors that once laughed at them by racking up 400k in sales a year now and soon they are on target to do a million in the next few years. I like this Portico and would buy one if it had awd. It is the first Hyundai concept I have seen that appears to be production intentioned. We'll see a spin-off of this soon i am sure.
