Have the need to haul six passengers, 2,840 lbs of payload and a trailer with 15,800 lbs? Then Dodge has the truck for
you. The massive Ram Mega Cab is one more vehicle to appease the truck buying masses and appall anyone driving
something without a Hemi or a Cummins. That's right Dodge is offering a 5.9 liter Cummins Turbo Diesel engine that
produces a ludicrous 610 lb.-ft of torque and 325 horsepower. Or you can opt for the wussy Hemi V8 with a measly 375
lb.-ft. Of torque and 345 horsepower. The Cummins comes with either a six-speed manual or an automatic, the Hemi…just
gets a five-speed auto. Click below for more info and a lot more pictures.
While the style doesn’t break the Dodge Ram mold in the least, a cabin that seats six is a novelty even in the large truck arena. The seats look to have a lot of versatility and fold flat to form a flat cargo area inside the cab.
The sheer size of this truck is the selling point and in certain parts of the country this vehicle fits a need.

DAMN THATS ONE BIG TRUCK!! Looks to be quite comfortable up in there. Outside looks IMO much better than before, but what an interior!!!! A winner in my book.
George S @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
Great job, I love the new interior. The front end styling looks much better than the Durango and New Dakota. Might have to trade my 03 for one.

i have the 04 2500 with the big diesel i love it. i'm not to crazy about the new front end on the 05-06
Edsel @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
Jumping jehosephats! That sucker is bigger than our first house. Just below the HVAC dash controls is what appears to be a covered storage area big enough to fit a microwave oven or, a Mini Cooper.
Think they’ll make a the long-bed version?
Mark K @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
LONG BED PLEASE!!!
I have been waiting for this cab- but I need a long bed!! Oh pretty please!
Justin Hollabaugh @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
For the record:
"Have the need to haul six passengers, 2,840 lbs of payload and a trailer with 15,800 lbs?"
You can't do all three at the same time. GVWR and GCWR ratings allow you to do any of those maximums by themselves or some combination thereof below those maximums without becoming overloaded. If you tried to haul 6 people in the cab, 2,840lbs in the bed, and 15,800lbs of trailer you would be well into gross overload.
Sam @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
LOL...a Mini Cooper...that's classic! Wish they had plans for a DRW version...oh well, maybe at some point, eh?
Mark @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
All it needs is a long bed, dual rear wheels, the powerwagon package, and the new diesel hybrid driveline.
LOL.. and the MiniCooper as a parking spot scout..hehehe
Will @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
If only this truck had existed in 2000! I'd own it rather than my Super Duty.
Whay can't the go back to the 94 Grill? That's the onlt ugly thing on the truck (the Dakota and Durango have ugly fronts as well).
Gimmie a MegaCab, Diesel, 3500 Power Wagon!
Houston Hightower @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
As a Truck Manager, and a Texan I am glad to see such an overwhelming and positive response. Now the Boldest Truck on the road will have the boldest engines and a cab big enough to hold the excitement and Ego that comes with owning one.
MLee @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
Good looking and about time for a full cab.
The jump seat passanger has no place to put there feet, unless they are cups. Is the cup holder removable?
Ron @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
So are the other rumors about a 8.1L Cummins w/ 425 horse and a 4500/5500 version true as well/ That is one amazing truck. If only I could afford one........
JP @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
The front seat center passenger is supposed to put their feet in the trunk of the mini cooper. Wait a minute, mini's don't have trunks, they have the flip up rain shelter? I noticed the same thing. I like the flip up cup holders in my '04 Ram.
Ryan S @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
What a Truck!! What is Dodge doing to there front ends? Please STOP!! They look like a mix between a Chevy and GMC front end. Oh well, I am sure I will learn to like the front end as I did last time. Other than that great truck but add an 8ft bed and Power Wagon and slap on some dually rear wheels on and let us entertain you restaurants.
Sebastian Pinciaro @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
Love the new cab.
Hate the front end. (Face)
95-97 have better front ends.
S.Trombley @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
You cannot possibly offer this truck with a 6ft. bed only!!!! You have GOT to make it in a long bed. Pick-up trucks should not even have a 6ft bed option! Long beds are the RAMS meow! Please guys, think LOOOONNNNGGG!
Michael Lisle @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
I'm surprised that they're not using a mercedes diesel in the trucks? When does the contract with Cummins expire?
oscar lugo @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
Pls.let me know when will be available
Mike Welch @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
It appears Dodge has finally produced a truck with more than basic amenities on the interior. But, why build a truck with 610 ft/lbs and make it a short bed? Those of who want a bigger truck want a LONG BED. Is it coming soon?
Karen @ Dec 18th 2005 10:59PM
LONG BED....IT HAS TO BE A LONG BED OR ELSE THE REST OF THE TRUCK IS A WASTE...
