Over 1 million motorcycles were sold in 2004, up 4.7 percent from last year and is at the highest level since 1979. USA Today reports the reason being more women are purchasing motorcycles and that they appeal to a broader range of people. The average age of buyers in 2003 was 41 up from 32 in 1990.
