Ford has lift the lid on the new second generation THX sound system that will be available in the new 2006 Lincoln Zephyr. The system offers 600 watts of amplification through 14 speakers. There are 12 channels of digital signal processing power that provides individual speaker EQ, three optimized seating position modes (driver, front seat, all seats), THX configurable speaker array processing and surround processing of stereo CDs. The system was custom build for the Zephyr interior. No word on the cost of the option, but Autoblog will have more on the Zephyr this weekend from the Detroit Auto Show.
