The editors at Edmunds.com welcome a Ford Escape Hybrid into their long term test fleet and are mighty impressed. However, I'm surprised at a comment like "The best thing this SUV has got going for it is its looks. It has a sporty, fun look." That quote comes from the photo editor who is probably more impressed with looks than anything else so I'll let it slide but I would think the "best thing" about the Escape Hybrid are the clean emissions garnering Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (AT-PZEV) status and the increased mileage of course. So far the best mileage they're getting is just over 28 mpg and the gripes mainly cover the a/c and the small info display screen. We'll see if the first hybrid SUV can prove itself to the folks at Edmunds.
