The reversal of a stupid NASCAR rule that allowed "Smirnoff Ice" on a car but not "Smirnoff Vodka" has now OK'd distilled alcohol as sponsors in the 2005 season. "Weeeeeel Doggies!" said an excited Jack Roush (not really, I made that up), who's 99 Carl Edwards driven car will be the first to cash in on that rule change. Crown Royal will be the first sponsor to plug hard liquor at 195 mph. Crown Royal was also the official sponsor of the 2004 International Race Of Champions after True Value backed out at the end of the 2003 season.
