Honda will be adding a new $100 million automatic-transmission plant in Tallapoosa, Ga., which will be their 13th North American plant. They will also invest $100 million in Ohio to produce high-precision gears that are currently being built in Japan and another $70 million to machine additional engine components at its existing engine-plant operations in Alabama. In China, Honda will be spending $265.2 million to build a second automobile factory.
