Completing a rainy test session last week, five-time AMA Superbike champ Mat Mladin and his teammate Aaron Yates have headed home for some delinquent rest before the rapidly approaching 2005 season. While zipping through the Sepang Circuit for three days, both riders had the opportunity to test the latest incarnation of Suzuki's new generation GSX-R1000. Notwithstanding the wet conditions, the team cross-referenced an '04 model and found that Japan has made good with the curtailed allotment following this past season's rescheduling. Further testing of the bike will begin again in early January.
