Saleen unveils new S281 Mustang
It hasn't taken Saleen long to come up with their version of the all-new Mustang. The Most notable difference here visually is the absence of the big round headlights found on the GT, lowered stance and almost totally redesigned rear end. The interior also gets some nice refreshening. Under the hood the regular S281 produces just 25 more horsepower than the stock 300 horse GT. But the S281 SC due out next spring will feature a 500 horsepower supercharged deal.

Way to go, Saleen. You took a decent looking car and did what every "tuner" does to their Honda.

liked Saleens work with the mustang. They are much higher quality than the typical import aftermarket bodykits etc.

I am not a fan of Saleen's previous iterations, but this is very nice. If you look at it from different angles it hints a looking like an Aston Martin. From other angles it looks like a 69 Shelby GT500. Take off the wing and the stickers, and this is a winner in my book...

for a Saleen this only has one real sticker on the windshield and the little black graphics on the door. I think it's very clean and looks great in this color too.

this guy does real good work, wish more Americans thought like him. the new stang' seems to fit well with these very S7 design touches. Not so sure about the little vents in the rocker sill though, does look too "tuner". Same with the heavy-handed wing, a black lip spoiler would be far better. Cheaper than all new quarter panels and doors though... maybe for the topline (S381R???) version he'll do something wild in carbon fiber for those guys with money to burn.
