A celebrity-studded list of 800 people has been whittled down to a more selective 50 to receive the first 50 Ford GT supercars that will roll off the assembly line. Those on the list include Ford Chairman Bill Ford (duh), Jay Leno (duh), retired Microsoft chairman Jon Shirley who won a GT for over $550,000 at a charity auction. Other buyers will shell out closer to $150,000. Surprisingly car fanatics Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen and John Travolta did not make the list. I think they'll be happy in one of their other 20 or 30 exotics in their stables. Or they could just go to a dealership to buy one of the 1,800 2005 models that will be available.
